About Us

West Rising is an annual gathering that brings together radicals from around the West for a weekend of learning, listening, and movement building. Creating a safe and open space, West Rising hosts a diverse array of workshops, skillshares, and discussions to further build the radical social justice movement.

The West Rising Collective envisions a conference that provides a space for radicals in the West to network, share, and dialog on important issues in the radical social justice movement. We envision a conference that reflects our movements rather than forming it, and that by supporting and encouraging individuals and groups to host their workshops we can share and accurate and healthy analysis of the social justice movement rather than providing a "fix-all" cure.
